The Deal
Market dynamics, influenced by geo-political instabilities and uncertainty around Tik Tok’s ability to compete within the US market, prompted many investors evaluating opportunities within the social commerce space to sit on the sidelines a bit longer. Stickler was seeking a strategic partner to accelerate certain growth initiatives and provide growth capital to accelerate its product development roadmap. Continuum executed a structured buy-side process to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and finalize a deal that aligns with Tuatara’s strategic and financial goals. The vehicle used for equity investment was designed to defer valuation decisions into a later financing round, avoid debt obligations, and further align shareholder interests. The investment conforms with Tuatara’s investment strategy and will help fulfill Stickler’s growth objectives.
